Ednaville - Dame Edna

She came from the suburbs - gaily waving gladioli. She's gone on to conquer the world - well, the English-speaking world anyway. She is of course, our Dame Edna - although originally just Mrs Norm Everage, nee Beazley, of Humouresque Street, Moonee Ponds, Victoria. To celebrate the fact that she's taunted us for 50 years, and as part of the greater Ednafest, the Victorian Arts Centre in Melbourne is putting together an exhibition called Ednaville.

Ednaville, an exhibition celebrating the life of housewife superstar Dame Edna Everage. Attracting record attendances, with a total of 698,000 visitors during its highly successful Australian and international tours.
