Mirror Mirror, Although based on a story often told to children (Snow White), this is an adult ballet which questions the morality of beauty and status, both major ideals of the classical ballets of the 19th century.
At the helm of the ballet’s creation is The Australian Ballet Resident Choreographer Natalie Weir, The Ballet is her personal dark variant on the tale of snow white. But from its earliest stages she brought into the ballet’s creative process the young composer Robert Griffin Morgan, Its set and costume designer Bill Haycock and its lighting designer David Walters. Each of these creators has been working on their particular slice of the whole ballet.
