Dreamboats & Petticoats, had a 4 month run at the Savoy theatre from 22 July to 31 Oct 2009, then returned to the West End on 6 Jan 2010 at the Playhouse Theatre, where it ran to 4 Aug 2012.
The show features classic songs Let’s Dance, To Know Him Is To Love Him, Shaking All Over, Bobby’s Girl, Little Town Flirt, Only Sixteen, Runaround Sue, Happy Birthday Sweet 16, Let it Be Me, Let’s Twist Again and more
It is written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, inspired by the album, Dreamboats and Petticoats. Directed by Bob Tomson with choreography by Carole Todd. It is produced by Bill Kenwright Ltd & Laurie Mansfield, in association with Universal Music.
In 1961 emotions run high as talented young musicians Norman and Bobby compete to win the hearts of their adoring female fans - and more importantly, the gorgeous Laura. But when Laura shows that she’s no slouch with the guitar, rock ‘n’ roll fame beckons.
