Gabe McKinley's play is torn from the headlines about a 2003 scandal. In case you don't remember the Jayson Blair affair, he was a young reporter whose five-year journalistic craziness sent shock waves through the halls of the prestigious Gray Lady, a.k.a. as The New York Times, off her pedestal as the prestigious newspaper of record. Of course, as anyone who reads the paper — whether the old-fashioned way or on line— knows, the paper survived even though it cost executive editor Howell Raines and managing editor Gerald Boyd their jobs.
