Barmaids - The story of two Australian women of a “certain age” working as Barmaids in a run-down pub in a Port town somewhere in Australia. Nancy and Val know how a good bar should be run. When they step behind the bar they are in control. They recognize the value of service and loyalty and they look after their regulars. Then one day the pub is bought by a syndicate and accountants start hatching new schemes to bring in more customers. Nancy and Val go into battle to protect their beloved bar, their customers and their own dignity. Barmaids is based on the colourful stories of real Australian Barmaids and is about the loyalty and bonds between a barmaid and a drinker
