Hugh Hill, the resident producer-director (1973) of The International Ice Follies is himself a skater of international reputation. Before returning to Australia for the David H McIIwraith production of "Champagne on Ice" at the fabulous Lido Theatre Restaurant, Melbourne, he skated overseas extensively in many of the world's capital cities. He then continued on to produce "Ice Revue'71" with a record breaking season at the then Chevron Hotel.
